It mostly affects middle aged women with light complexions, but can also affect others including men. Rosacea is a skin condition that is characterized mainly by red areas on the cheeks and nose, inflamed capillaries and sometimes accompanied by blemishes. Rosacea is a skin condition that can deplete our skin’s natural defenses for healthy looking skin. Having Rosacea can make it difficult to use skin care products.

We often talk about the different Anti Aging Peptides that we use in our Skin Perfection products. They help combat the signs of aging by encourage our skin to work efficiently and look younger. But what is also equally important is the use of Organic Ingredients in our skin care products. Organic Ingredients nourish and feed our complexions with essential vitamins and minerals for healthy skin. Healthy skin is better able to defend against environmental stressors that can cause premature aging.

Organic Ingredients

are grown without pesticides. Ingredients that are natural and pesticide free are good for your skin as they provide your skin with essential nutrients from nature. Over the years, scientists have found that people have become more and more sensitive to ingredients that are grown with pesticides. Allergies have been linked to ingredients with pesticides. This is just one more reason to avoid ingredients grown with pesticides. At Skin Perfection, we incorporate as many natural and organic ingredients into our skin care products as possible. On each ingredient declaration, when you see an asterisk* you know that it is a certified organic ingredient. Our organic ingredients have been certified by the NOP or Oregon Tilth.

Certified Organic Skin Care

is different from skin care that uses Organics Ingredients that are Certified Organic. Certified Organic Skin Care means that the whole entire product (or at least 95%) is certified organic. Peptides are not on the National List as being organic so products with peptides and certified organic ingredients are not allowed to be Certified Organic Skin Care. However, we can still include certified organic ingredients in our skin care. A certified organic product must have be certified by an approved office such as the NOP or Oregon Tilth. For a 100% organic seal from the USDA, a product must contain 100% organically produced ingredients. (except water and salt) For a product to be certified organic it must contain at least 95% organically grown ingredients (except water and salt). The last 5% of ingredients must be a non-agricultural substance approved and be listed on the National List. These products can use USDA Organic Seal.

Using products with organic ingredients can help to delay the onset of aging so you can look great at any age!
No more wrinkles, please!

Can’t afford to have face lifts or special treatments? Homeostatine is red marine seaweed that improves the skins elasticity and tightens sagging areas such as jowls and the neckline which improves the appearance of skin wrinkles. Many of our anti aging products use Homeostatine to help you look younger. We also carry a DIY Homeostatine ingredient that you can add to your own skincare serum, moisturizer, body lotion or cream to help firm your complexion.

Homeostatine is an active complex of two natural botanical ingredients: one is extracted from an Andean Tree, Caesalpinia spinosa, a polysaccharide fraction (galactomannans), and the other from a Marine Seaweed, Enteromorpha compressa. Through an innovative process, it was designed to help prevent and diminish skin wrinkles. Who wants to talk about wrinkles, right!?! In order to fully understand how Homeostatine works, we must first understand more about these dreaded things called wrinkles.

There are many intrinsic aging and external factors involved in the formation of wrinkles such as natural aging of the skin, photo-aging, and repeated facial movements (i.e. expression lines). All of these factors share a physiological cause which alter homeostasis and result in a rapid imbalance which is called perturbations in the homeostasis of dermal extra-cellular matrix (i.e. wrinkles). Homeostatine aims to maintain the homeostasis in the extra-cellular matrix by balancing between synthesis and degeneration of extra-cellular matrix components (EMC). These are the components that help to keep the skin moisturized, firm, full of elasticity, and the look of skin wrinkles at bay.

In our efforts to look youthful, we use cream after cream to delay the onset of aging. One thing that is often overlooked in our anti-aging skin care routine is our smile. Yellowing, stained teeth make you look older. A white smile shows youthfulness, confidence and brightens your complexion. Drinking coffee, soda and tea can dramatically effect the color of your teeth. There are many options for removing the

yellow and stains off of teeth. You can use at home whitening kits, whitening toothpaste, whitening gel from the Dentist, or even whiten with blue light at a clinic. Have you looked at your teeth lately? Is it time to fresh up and whiten your smile? If so, here is a super simple at-home recipe to whiten your teeth. Because a white smile is a youthful smile!

I recently came across an at-home recipe on Pinterest for whitening your teeth. I thought it was interesting since I use teeth whitening gel all the time to maintain a white smile. I changed the recipe a tiny bit, tried it and really liked it. The mixture whitened my teeth and even whitened in the areas between the teeth. My teeth looked clean, whiter and fresh. This recipe just uses household ingredients that you probably have in your pantry. I added a little peppermint essential oil for a minty effect. Here is the recipe I used:

1/4 teaspoon Hydrogen Peroxide

1/4 teaspoon Baking Soda

1/4 teaspoon Water

1 Drop Peppermint Essential Oil

Crest 3D White Toothpaste (any toothpaste will do)

Mix all the ingredients in a cup. Place onto your toothbrush and brush your teeth. Repeat twice a day until desired results are met. Then, use once a month to maintain.

Now you can have a gorgeous, youthful smile to your anti-aging skin care routine with a super simple recipe with natural ingredients.
